How do they treat kidney stones during pregnancy?
I am 14 weeks pregnant. Have had pain in my left side since Friday, around my kidney area. I've already called my doctor yesterday and he didn't do anything because I don't have any symptoms of a kidney infection. I called back today, and waiting for them to call me back. To see if they want me to go for tests and possibly a sonogram of the kidney to check for stones. If by chance I do have a kidney stone, how is that treated during pregnancy?
Usually they will just give you a pregnancy safe antibiotic to prevent or treat any UTI that might result and otherwise they let the stone break up and pass on it's own.
