kidney stones, could the doctor miss it as actually a person is starving themselves? The person I am referring to has lost a lot of weight very quickly.

That's very possible. If the person is not eating right their BP, heart rate and potassium will all drop. If this person is doing this on purpose then some kind of intervention needs to be done. A parent or Dr needs to be told before this person kills themselves. This person needs help now, very badly.
