What is a kidney stone?

Let me first explain exactly what a calcium kidney stone is. A kidney stone is a solid piece of material that forms in a kidney out of substances in the urine. Most kidney stones are formed from calcium. Typically, people who suffer from kidney stones are somewhat predisposed to this disease. It's usually passed from generation to generation. Where do I feel the pain?

When someone has calcium build up that form stones, there are a few distinct symptoms they may experience. Typically, they will experience a lot of pain in the lower back and side area. This pain is usually constant and almost unbearable at times.

Other symptoms -

You also may see blood in your urine. This is caused by the blockage in your urinary track. Along with blood, your urine my be cloudy and have a bad odor. A burning sensation is often common when urinating. A slight fever and chills are possible. Many people say it feels similar to flu like symptoms.

What should you do if you experience these symptoms?

It's probably a good idea to call your doctor or even possibly make a visit to the emergency room. However,Most kidney stones pass out of the body without help from a doctor. But sometimes a stone will not pass. It may even get larger. Your doctor can help.
