stent removal for kidney stones?
My girlfriend took the stent out and now she is having spasms on her side and is a great deal of pain...when is this going to go away? I read somewhere that this is normal..but I want to know what happens after removal
Am I reading this right? She took her own stent out? I have had one before and it just about drove me crazy. I felt like I had to pee 24/7, but I let my urologist remove it. The spasms that she is feeling may be parts of the kidney stone moving down the ureter. The pain will go away when she passes all of the pieces. Have her drink lots of water, lemonade or cranberry juice.
