kidney stones surgery risks
Which other hospital in Los Angeles is like Harbor General UCLA?

ABOUT A YEAR AGO I WAS HAVING ALOT OF PAIN, I WENT TO LAKEWOOD, AND THEY REFERRED ME TO HARBOR TO GET TESTED FOR GULL STONES. I WENT TO HARBOR AND WAITED FOR LIKE 14 HOURS TO GET SEEN, BUT THEY REFUSED TO PERFORM AN ULTRA SOUND SINCE THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AND SO THEY JUST DIAGNOSED ME WITH NIGHT TIME GERD..WHICH IS HEARTBURN..WITHOUT REALLY RUNNING ANY TESTS. RECENTLY I WAS HAVING WORSE PAIN, I WENT TO WEST ANAHEIM MEDICAL CENTER, AND AFTER THE ULTRA SOUND THEY READ ME MY LAB RESULTS, AND IM RISKING KIDNEY FAILURE, I HAVE OVER A DOZEN STONES (BILIARY COLIC/CHOLELITHIASIS), ABNORMAL LIVER. I NEED TO GET SURGERY, BUT THAT HOSPITAL REFERRED ME TO A SURGEON THAT I CANNOT AFFORD....I WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE'S ANY OTHER HOSPITAL THAT SOMEONE COULD RECOMMEND THAT'S "high quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care regardless of ability to pay".

OR SOME KIND OF MEDICAL I MIGHT BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR

(IM 23, F, NO INSURANCE, LOW INCOME, NO KIDS)

If the doctor considers you to be disabled, you may
apply at the Social Security office for disability.
If you get this, they may also give you Social Security
income if you are low income. You may also apply
for Medicare or Medicaid.

Some hospitals receive money from the government
to take patients who don't have the ability to pay.
Call the hospital and ask to speak to someone there
that may handle this. In certain cases, they will work
with you for payment or even take you without pay.
You could ask the doctors to work with you, also...
by getting in contact with them ahead of time.
Some hospitals have social workers who help
patients who have problems.

I hope this information is of some help to you.
Best wishes
