kidney stones tired
I need help!!?? Kidney stones...?

Ok so i have no idea how to tell if i have kidney stones but i think i may :( ( I woke up this morning with a sharp pain in my side like a couple inches above my hipbone in my left side. It feels like bad cramps but its only in that one side! Im also really tired. How can I tell if I have them or something else??
& yes it still hurts! i also have tried going pee(haha) and it makes my side hurt and i barely can

I have had kidney stones before. Usually they involve passing blood in the urine, this is because the stones are trying to move out and they scrap against the tubes leading from the kidney out. If the pain goes off and on for a while, like in waves, possible its a kidney stone. Drink plenty of fluids and that will help it to pass. However, if this happens for a couple of days, or if the pain suddenly gets too severe, I would see a doctor about it/ go to the emergency room. They can give you pain medicine but it will still have to come out on its own, unless its too big to pass through the tube. The ER doctor will take a scan of your kidneys and if he/she thinks its too big for you to pass on your own, he will refer you to a specialist.
