Could this have been Kidney Stones?
I'm a 16 year old female.
Friday of last week, I started having the constant urge to urinate. And, when I did it was barely anything at all. When I woke up on Saturday, my back was in so much pain. So, I went to the store and bought Azo thinking it was a Urinary Tract infection.
There's was blood in my urine, and I even urinated STRAIGHT blood for about a day.
My back pain kept becoming worse (specifically on the right side ) along with nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, fever, chills, fatigue, a bloated, sick queasy feeling. Just all round ill feeling.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday, the gave me a prescription to take for 10 days thinking it was a UTI, as I did. They called a few days later, saying it wasn't. I have to go back and give a urine specimen after I finish my meds.
Please note:
All of my symptoms are now gone. I feel completely normal, besides being constipated.
Could this have been Kidney Stones?
Very possible but unlikely. Most 1st kidney stones puts you literally in the floor. But just in case, drink lots of water 64oz a day. Cut down on all teas, and Mountain Dew. Drink lots of lemonade.
