Has any women been given Flomax for kidney stones?
Since this is a drug for men is it as safe as the Dr. says
Flomax is typically utilized in men with voiding problems due to an enlarged prostate. It works by relaxing muscle tissue within the prostate but also around the opending of the bladder. The same muscle tissue is present at the opening of the bladder in women and occassionally flomax is used to try to relax these muscles to improve urination. The use of flomax for women is likely appropriate and I hope it is helpful.
