Can a glass of mineral water neutralize the quantity of oxalic acid from a black or green tea bag?
I found some articles where we are advised to eat food rich in calcium before drinking green or black tea, thus the insoluble calcium oxalate (one of the main causes of kidney stones) is formed in the digestive tract and eliminated. But what if I put the bag in a cup of hot non-carbonated mineral water (rich in calcium and other minerals)? Could this have the same effect?
Hmm.. It may be because of the digestion, and it may not help if the combination is done outside the body.
